ParticipantI’ve started making some Sci-Fi vehicles, beginning with the tracks.
There’s a step by step guide to how I made them on my blog.

ParticipantComing together nicely 🙂
May I ask what materials you used for turret and hull? Is it all plasticard or something else as well?

ParticipantIt’s mostly plasticard, the exception being the turret ring which is mdf and the gun barrel which is cut from a pen. And Green Stuff to fill gaps.

ParticipantSo that’s what the rest was, thank you 🙂

ParticipantI’ve been working on the second one, the turret still needs a lot done to it.

ParticipantThis is unlocking whole new avenues of miniature gaming in the inner world of my mind. Brava!

ParticipantI think I’m getting more jealous than inspired. You know, when it passes that level of ‘I can do that’ with ‘dammit, why don’t my projects ever turn out looking anything like that?’
Which is my way of saying they look pretty darned cool in my book. Going to be going over your blog cause the scratch building phase is almost upon me again.

ParticipantA bit more progress today, and my moulding rubber arrived this afternoon so I can get to the casting and painting stage soon hopefully. 🙂
Three turret choices for the hull I did yesterday.
A tank destroyer. I’m really pleased with how this one looks so far. 🙂

ParticipantCan’t express enough how much I love the blog and the projects. I don’t know how to put it, the diligence to the project inspired me a lot and kind of kicked the creeping crud out of my painting. Got me to sit back and dig in to building and painting the next project. Hard to explain, but these are awesome and I appreciate you sharing.
