ParticipantI took the plunge. I walked away from Colours 2016 with a couple of “starter” forces of US infantry and Panzergrenadiers and a few buildings from Rapier Miniatures. They are the MDF ones but I can’t remember the actual manufacturer.
Hopefully I will get them painted up and ready over the next month. Now to decide on which rules to play.

ParticipantThuseld:
Enjoy! What scale did you opt for? 28/25mm, 20mm, 15mm or 12/10mm? As to rules you might look at Chain of Command by Too Fat Lardies or an older Battleground WWII from Easy Eight.
Cheers and good gaming.

ParticipantIt is the HACME buildings. Love them.
As for my post, I see now I was tired and missed out an important detail. I have been gaming WW2 for years in 20mm. The plunge I took was converting to 6mm. And as for rules, I can’t decide between first tring Crossfire or Battle group Overlord,

ParticipantYou wont regret it Thuseld, I made the same move a few years ago, got rid of all my (mostly unpainted) 20mm SHQ and hovels stuff, and started up with H&R, I now have literally battalions of all painted minis and tons of buildings/scenery too, for a lot cheaper plus a lot less storage

Only if you use them against each other.

Bah. As wargamers so often say; just don’t mix them in the same unit, and you’ll be fine

ParticipantI wouldn’t call myself a Gent, but yes that was me. Your church is beautiful and I would have loved to get some snipers in there.
