Our Workbench Is Full!

Good Ground has been very busy creating new packs over the last two months. We expect to launch all of these sets prior to Historicon next month. Casting should begin shortly with our friends at Griffin Moulds. Most of these figures have been completed since May, but we had some delay while our casting company relocated to a new facility. They are now back in production and all our new figures are awaiting production moulds which is now underway.

The Early-War CS Militia or US Regulars will be available firing and marching with three head gear options. These are Kepi, Kepi with Havelock and Slouch Hats.

Zouaves will take a bit longer as they will have four headgear options, Fez, Turbaned Fez, Kepi and Straw Hats. I still expect them by Historicon as the master mould is already configured.

Wilder's Mounted Rifles "The Lightning Brigade"

The Western Theatre Personality Group includes one eastern personality, Barnard Bee, who will be included in the Miltia Brigade Packs. Forrest and Wilson will also be included in this group.

We are very excited about these and many new projects underway for Good Ground. We are commited to provide the most complete line of figures available in 10mm for the American Civil War.

Good Ground Attends Little Wars

Good Ground, LLC is marching to St. Charles, IL for Little Wars. We will have our full inventory of 10mm Between the Lines Models, Cracker Line and Plank Road Miniatures, Gourmet Guns and B Company Magnetic Bases.

Newly arrived are the new Iron Brigade figures sculpted by Robi Baker, which are my first new addition to the Plank Road Line. We will have these up on the site by this Saturday. They will be available as the regular individual packs or as an Iron Brigade Battle Pack complete with appropriate flags. Robi is working now on Zouaves for the Plank Road Line as well. Also new at Little Wars are the latest addtion to our vast line of 10mm Flags. We will add XI and XII Corps from Gettysburg to the already large number of Old Gunny flags made exclusively for Good Ground. No one has more variety in flags for this scale. Remember, Tim Harrop, the Old Gunny himself, donates his proceeds to Historical Museums and Veterans Memorials.

As noted above, these little gems will be available in four different headgear configurations to go along with our usual variety of poses. I am very excited to have Robi onboard. As you can see, he is very talented.

Our original sculptor, Bob Soutar, has been hard at work creating Early-War CS Militia, which can also serve as US Regulars from 1861-62. These will be available in Kepi or Kepi with Havelock and can be teamed up with our original Cracker Line infantry in Slouch Hats and Frock Coats for an almost infinite variety. These will be ready in May.

I will also have all the new guns and the wagon team recently remastered by Toby Barrett of Thoroughbred Miniatures available at Little Wars.

Good Ground Off To Cold Wars!

Good Ground, LLC will head to Cold Wars this weekend. We will be at booth number 8 in the dealer hall. Please come by and visit us. We will have the full Cracker Line and Plank Road ranges available, that is of course at least on Friday! If you have an order you wish to pick up at Cold Wars, we must have the information by tomorrow at close of business.


I will be happy to talk about our upcoming new releases as well as our future plans, including our new Iron Brigade and upcoming Zouave ranges for Plank Road Miniatures.



Don't forget, our "Fired Up" sale is on through Mid-March, so come by and take full advantage of the sale and avoid postal fees.

Good Ground Attends Cold Wars

We were gonna take the Plank Road, but it was taking us nowhere fast. So we are headed up the long road to Lancaster, PA for Cold Wars 2015. We are taking orders for delivery at Cold Wars from now until March 3. If you have items on your 10mm ACW wish list, avoid paying postage and pick them up at the show.

Good Ground will also honor the "Fired Up" sale during the show.
