The final formation required to fight the afternoon attack at Talavera is complete together with the general officers commanding it.
I have posted some pictures of the division as a whole together with General’s Bassecourt and Cuesta.
With just a half battery of Spanish horse guns close to completion the table will be being set up up in the next few weeks prior to the first of four planned games this summer and autumn in support of ‘Combat Stress’

Many thanks for sharing your fantastic miniatures with us all, it has been an absolute pleasure watching this project progress and will be a shame for everyone once it has finished as we won’t have your updates to look forward to.
Unless you have another one lined up…?

There’s always another one, isn’t there? Behind every lead mountain is a bigger one to climb. 🙂
Beautifully painted figures, love the basing too.

There is always a slight sadness in coming to the end of a project, particularly one that has absorbed my time for the last three years, however I paint to play and the project won’t really be over because the games need to be played and there is still a lot of Peninsular War to go.
That said the focus will be shifting this year with the 28mm Early Imperial Roman collection to build, principally around the Dacian Wars but moving on to look at other Imperial theatres of action, but I will be adding to the Napoleonic collection as I go with some new ideas and games to feature along the way, so a varied diet of stuff to come on the blog going forward.
cheers
