Thank you all for your help. I appreciate the suggestions on what to do, and I have taken it all into consideration.
however, this will be my last post on here as I tried yet again to play those games and the conclusion was a lecture from my mom on how these games are a “slippery slope”, and that it’s something she doesn’t want me doing, and that everyone she knows who plays these “wargames” never spends time with their family, and they take it to the “enth degree” and it all ends up bad.
So, thank you for your help again everybody, but I guess it’s time to wrap up the hobby and call it quits.

I like all those ideas. I will definitely take those into consideration! Thank you!
and the main problem with those games is the fact they are not games you pick up and play and then put away like Clue or Monopoly or Scrabble where you take it out, play it, and then put it back. My parents want me to not invest myself heavily into stuff I don’t have time for.
Are there any games like that could involve scenery or terrain making?
