Lasalle Second Edition is a complete re-imagining of the award-winning game from 2009. It features a new sequence of play, driven by momentum and interrupts, that allows players to do virtually anything in any order, differently every turn. You can never be certain what your opponent does in response to your decisions, nor how many opportunities he will have to thwart your plans. The second edition also has a completely new system for skirmishing, for movement, for rallying, for shooting and combat... it's a whole new game.

Twenty-six pages of Advanced Rules offer a huge variety of “flavor” that you can add as desired. These include new assets such as rockets and howitzer batteries, sapeurs, aides-de-camp, or partisans operating off-table to delay your enemy’s reinforcements. The advanced rules include new doctrinal options such as early-war “linear” tactics, irregular formations, regimental and battalion guns, and more literal placement of skirmisher formations. Rules for large multi-player games, the effects of different ground conditions, and additional personality traits for your general are among the many options.

As with the original Lasalle, the new game walks you through the creation of an historical scenario but also provides everything you need to create fictional forces for pick-up games or tournaments at your club. Happy Easter. Here are Some Updates.

Greetings! I hope that you and your family and colleagues are all safe, healthy, and keeping well. I wanted to send this brief update of goings-on here at Honour.

1. The Print-on-Demand Cards
Firstly, as some of you have noticed, the links from the Honour website for the print-on-demand products have stopped working. That is because DriveThru Cards, the maker of our PoD products, has been forced to shut down their plant, in order to protect their workers during the COVID-19 crisis. This is of course the right thing to do, to protect their workers, and I fully understand.

Until DriveThru can reopen their facility, those links will remain dormant. This means, unfortunately, that it's not presently possible to order the following products:

- Your Majesty
- All Aurelian cards and tiles
- The Longstreet card set
- The Freejumper card set
- And the Kaiserlicks, Holy Mother Russia, König und Vaterland, and Sunset of the Ghazis card sets.

2. Other Products
All other products remain available, including all PDFs and the printed products from the Honour online store, as long as the Post Office remains open during the crisis.

I have noticed that shipping is taking longer than usual, probably because of enhanced security measures at all postal facilities, so please be patient.

3. Any Good News?
We were in the midst of some pretty vigorous playtesting for the new Second-Edition Lasalle when the virus struck, so that has caused some delays, obviously, but the game appears to be well along in development and I'm still working on it. My original intention, to have it ready by this Autumn, is probably no longer feasible, but perhaps it'll be a New Years baby.

Your Majesty is a fun and social card game about monarchy in the Age of Enlightenment. Each player takes the role of a fictional 18th century ruler trying to amass the most dazzling court, replete with the famous personalities of the Enlightenment, while paying for it by conquering colonies in the New World. The goal is to be the most successful and enlightened monarchy by passing reforms, attracting the great thinkers and artists of the age to your glittering court, and maintaining a good reputation in world affairs, even though you will have to fight wars and do some pushing among your rivals.

As mentioned in my last email in November, the security issues with the Honour Forum have become too critical to ignore, and the old Forum is going to have to close down.

The short version is: the SimpleMachines software, while being very user friendly, has very little in the way of security. Hackers using bots were attacking the site via the Forum, sometimes over 10,000 times a day. They were looking for stored customer data, which doesn't exist, but the volume of attacks shut down the whole HONOUR site. I was faced with the choice of rebuilding an entirely new Forum with new security, using new software, or migrating to an off-site commercial chat forum like FaceBook. For the time being, I chose the latter.

It's not an ideal situation, I know. I will also miss the SimpleMachines Forum, which served us well for over five years. I would keep it if I could, but I'm afraid there's no fix for it.

During 2019 I will be working on some new games, and that means that there will be more changes to the website as those near completion, including probably the construction of an all-new Forum within the existing security framework of my site. Until then I ask for your understanding.

I have now archived all of the player-designed game scenarios that you guys contributed over the years, so that none will be lost. I will decide in the coming months how best to preserve them and make them available to you.

In the meantime, though: if you want to download any scenarios from your favorite games, now is the time!

Rommel is Here!

The newest HONOUR tabletop game places you in command of entire divisions, corps, and armies as you make operational decisions involving thousands of men and machines. Rommel allows you to recreate entire major battles, using miniatures and/or "unit cards," as you prefer.

The Rommel game book is a 144-page full color hardback that includes the Basic and Advanced games, plus terrific resources for anyone interested in playing the Second World War at this scale. A typical game lasts 2-3 hours.

Historical Scenarios
The book walks you through the process of creating a scenario using historical orders of battle and maps.

Fictional Armies and Scenarios
An army-creation system includes 14 lists from 6 nations. Eight fictional scenario templates are highly flexible and customizable. A unique points system allows players to field armies of different points values, with the disadvantaged player compensated with various degrees of control over the scenario, terrain, and setup.

Open Architecture
All of the game's values are "open" and can be adjusted by the players. Unit values automatically adjust to whatever changes you wish to make. This allows players to create an infinite number of new army lists for their favorite or specialized forces.

Once they master the game's basic rules, players can use the Advanced Game, which introduces new operations such as airborne or amphibious landings; specialized units and a greater variety of traits for existing units; engineering, mine clearing, and many other possibilities.
