My old Mars game mat is wearing out. So decided to buy a new one instead of making my own this time. A lot easier and quicker, but I’m wondering what to do with the scenery. Here’s the mat, with some scenery from my old table.
I’m thinking of mixing up my own colours from some tester pots. I have the 3 primary colours and thinking of brown, orange, reddish ect…..maybe ink washes in these colours?
What would you do to try and blend the rocks, bases ect..With the colours of the new mat?
I would follow the mat. Wash with a dark brown red, dry brush with the orange and pick out highlights with nearly white.
Cheers Pat, I’m in the process of trying that.
