Volunteers of Ireland (2nd American Regiment) and New York Volunteers (3rd American Regiment) as they may have appeared in South Carolina 1780. My interpretation of the Volunteers of Ireland flies in the face of conventional wisdom, but I explain my research and reasoning here: http://bravefusiliers.blogspot.com/2017/06/loyalist-brigade.html
Very nice work. And the reasoning behind your uniform choices makes a good deal of sense. I love the Mollo and McGregor book too. I sometimes daydream about painting up all the uniforms that are represented there (haven’t got very far yet!).
I agree! There are some regiments I have painted just because of that book.
Very nice unit, thanks for sharing.
