One of the games played at this month’s meeting of the Devon Wargames Group included this Chain of Command rendition of the fighting that characterised the capture of the port city of Antsirane in Madagascar from Vichy French troops by the British invasion forces, 7th May 1942.
If you would like to know more about this particular battle and see how the game turned out then just follow the link to the club blog.

A campaign that has fascinated me for a long time.
Russell Phillips published a good book ‘A Strange Campaign: The Battle for Madagascar’ about it last year. A Strange Campaign
There is a review of it (by me) on this site, TWW, at: Book Review: A Strange Campaign
Nice game – lovely figures and models. I just wonder for me if 28mm feels a little cramped at this level? But individually they are wonderful pieces.
