I think the advantage of todays glut of companies now producing well, everything, its easier for them make the more complicated  buildings, now with the level of detail than most average makers could do in a reasonable time scale.

I still make small items, and in the mode of everywhere I go looking at thrown out bits to see how I can use it in my games. Most recently found some bug mesh on site, and its perfect. I only want a bit and has already replaced some of my cruder efforts. An item for sale recently made me smile, a pack of  twigs, real twigs sigh!!

So, I think there is always going to be a place for home made, and I still don’t believe people at least can`t have a go themselves. Scale it from real life.

I have bought cars from poundland but they don`t have the choice they did, I only want a few cars so its not really an issue. Do you survivor take wound, or it a straight kill?

Another fun game, I recognise the figures. If you want more, Warlord make a set of plastic male zombies which are very well made. Sometimes they have a sprue sale, and if you sub to their newsletter they tell you when there are offers.

Interesting comments, the chariters in Journey’s end look almost the same as in Aces High! There was a grand total of 15 people in the screen. A missed opertunity.

Web site noted mate, I want another box of militia,  to outnumber the Marines and Rangers. The guys in the know say Sang in are a playable set of rules. Which set are you thinking of playing or do you make your own rules? I wanted say 2 Humvs, all I could fine in this scale were £17.99! Well, that wasn`t going to happen! Found a small firm that will 3D print one with a ring for crew for £4! I bought 2 and they are great little models. Need a minimum of work and hey presto. Even comes complete with a 50cal!

    Look forward to the photos.

    Cheers

Interesting, I collect all my zombie figures in 28mm, but I`m making a club demo game based on Black Hawk Down. Decided to make it in 1/72, the UH-60 is 8″ long in that scale. Bought some Caesar modern militia and they were clean, a bit of flash here and there but fine. The Mars modern U.S. infantry were a nightmare to clean up. 1/72nd scale boxes seem to be creeping up in price, best place to buy them?

Hi, new to this site seems friendly enough. I’m making a Black Hawk Down game, it was for a demo game at Plymouth show in February, but due to dates clashing can`t make it. Decided to do it in 20mm and buy plastic figures. The Caesar militia were fine but the Mars box of modern U.S were horrendous two sprues had like caught the edge of the mould. Boy what a mess. I’m making a UH-60 and bought a box of the li’l birds, surprised me to find had two kits in the box.
