    Just stumbled across https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1658281003/riders-of-the-plains

    I was upset when the LoTR figures where significantly smaller than anything else I had and now its way too late to start collecting these as replacement 🙁

    Maybe a few for skirmish games…

    Warner Brothers – also teed off because someone used the name ‘The Hobbit Hole’ without permission (Hobbit being a Trade Mark apparently).

    I’m all in favour of protecting the intellectual property of the creator – a lot less sympathy for some massive global multinational corporation who bought an idea and milks it while putting **** all creativity into it.

    I have no interest in buying LOTR figures but if I did I would make a point of proxying them with one of the myriad figures that would fit the bill.

    Oh that’s a surprise and shame.

    TBH, I never spotted the ‘Hobbit’ reference – maybe a rename will sort things out…

    The page is not on archive.org so you will have to trust me when I said they where neat 🙂
