My French contingent for the Crimean War is nearly done. So far I have mainly used Minifigs 15mm. They have been around for a long time but are very elegant sculpts.
Single pose of course but I think the finished units look fine.

Very nice! Sometimes the older, smooth style of classic Minifigs is just fun to paint. I’m sure Sevastopol will surrender immediately once they spy those fine fellows advancing!
Thanks Tony. Yeah, they do have a certain charm about them.

My Crimean war British Infantry Brigades are now on my blog. There are Guards, Highlanders, Line Battalions and the Rifles. The figures are 15mm from Minifigs and Irregular. I find these mutually compatible in most cases.
I have used a lot of flags from Maverick Models. A good product and an excellent service.
I have also reproduced Captain Temple Godman’s account of the “Thin Red Streak” incident. It is illuminating.
