This beautiful diamond in the rough might become THE civil war strategy game.

This is the campaign map zoomed all the way out.

    A bit more zoomed in.

Zooming more in, you start to see terrain and armies.

And zoomed all the way in, you get some nice clear details.  Here my attempt at saving fort Sumter is met with a bombardment.

    Same goes with the battles

    Zoomed all the way out.

Closer, now with cleary inspired historical unit markers.

And finally all the way down in the dirt. The map is nice, sadly the soldier graphics are a bit of a letdown, compared to all the other wonderful art style stuff.

The game is in Early access, so far far from finished. Like today my cavalry corps of 10 000 men, horses and guns just disappeared, I assume eaten by the man-eating Virginia opossums.

Also armies might not attack each other. And in the battle seen over the reb cavarly didn’t dismount just stood there taking shot and shell. In the end I lost 2!!! out of 8000, while they lost 1500 out of 4900.
