These upcoming rules from Two Fat lardies and Dave Brown look interesting:

Playing a battalion sized battlegroup is certainly my prefered level.

My 6mm miniatures are currently organised pretty much in line with Fire&Furys Battlefront WW2 organisations. (1 model = 2 ish vehicles/guns, 1 infantry base = 1 section)

So does any one have any sample Organisations they can share, ideally late war British or German?

If not I’ll just have to wait!

    Cheers

I’ll be picking these up for the Korean War. If I understand correctly I like the squad basing but maneuver as platoons.

We’re still pretty happy with Battlefront:WW2 for this scale of game. Squad basing, but maneuver as companies.

    (I am now hijacking thread)

Steve, I have not a layer BF ww2 in a decade plus, but I remember liking it.  I have a copy on my shelf, I will dust it off and try it again.  Thanks!  I still buy these rules though, that’s just what I do…

We like Dave Brown’s Napoleonic & ACW rules, so these rules look interesting.

They’re the same scale as our current set (Blitzkrieg Commander) but seem to have more formal unit structure.

Certainly worth keeping on eye on.

Not to derail my own post but Pendraken should hopefully be releasing BKC 4 at Salute time so could be a couple of sets to buy this year!

I enjoyed playing Brown’s Panzergrenadier Deluxe, and, to me, there’s more than a whiff of PzGdr Deluxe about these new rules, though set at a different level.

    Deephorse,

    Appreciate your dedication to PzGren!

If you’re interested would you care to playtest Battalion HQ? Let me know – email direct.

Given your experience of PzGren you would be well placed to do so and compare and contrast.

    Cheers.

Good luck Dave!  Remember that I’ve still got all those unpublished orgs for BGPzG Deluxe if you want them! 🙂

If they had been published I would have bought them in a flash.  How about a .pdf via Wargames Vault or similar?  Are there any orgs. for France 1940 in there?

Afraid not, sorry.  It was all the late war British, US, German and Soviet orgs that couldn’t be fitted into the main rulebook, plus Japanese and Commonwealth orgs for Burma.
