A humble petition to the TWW Hive Mind:-

I have found this shield in my bits box. I have no idea what it is or  where it is from, but I suspect fantasy something or other.

It is as-near-as-makes-no-difference to 15mm diameter.

What seems odd to me is that it doesn’t seem to be intended to fix to a figure.

Many thanks in advance for any ideas, suggestions or answers.

Many thanks Mike,  that reminds me where and when it came from, and why I couldn’t remember, it was about when my son was born, and he’s 30 next month!

Would you please be kind enough to relay my gratitude back via FB, as I don’t participate.

Nice job!  I would have guessed an eye of Sauron or somesuch.

I had wondered about Sauron’s Eye, but that confused me further, because (I know it is heresy) I’m not a huge fan of J.R.R.T., and would have to have acquired it by accident. Irish myth, on the other hand…

I am suitably impressed by the powers of The Wargames Wiki!
