Hi all
We have a local wargames club which uses groups.io at the moment with a little bit of Facebook, although some members don’t want to use FB. The groups.io list is a bit 90s in its functionality and we want to be able share posts, messages, arrange games etc. Also a good option would be to have some kind of Members database/list of what wargames periods interest them and their collections.
I’m curious to see what other wargames clubs use? My first thought as I was typing this was Discord but I haven’t really looked into any options yet?

My local club uses a forum.
Everything you want/mention is achievable with wordpress.
My club uses the group.io list and it works well for us. But we are exploring things like running a calendar through our word press blog to assist with organising games.
I am one of those Luddites who really can’t fathom how to use Facebook, or Discord efficiently. Email lists get lost in lots of spam… I think the best place would be here or Lead Adventure Forum. setting up a folder for cons and clubs should be centralized as opposed to scattered. As a traveling gamer, i often try to look up clubs in the areas i travel to. Not always easy to find, particularly if it’s a group list.

Thanks I’ll look into that, we already use WordPress for the clubs website

Fair points especially with email, and it has to accessible for the for those technically challenged as our club is definitely getting greyer!
