Ok folks, it’s that time when I can say ... “finished”.
I’m usually very critical of my own work but I do have to admit that I’m very pleased with how this has turned out and I hope you are too!
So, here is the finished 20mm Stone House Ruin.
Hello wargaming friends! I’ve just uploaded a significant update to my Hail Of Fire rules. The changes add flexibility and clarity with the side effect of also reducing the overall word count.
There are small changes throughout, so I encourage you to re-visit the whole 7 pages, but larger changes include an improved turn sequence, simpler assaults, and the introduction of a re-vised Go to Ground order.
I’m playtesting variations on order point generation and AT/armor systems as I find time, so expect to hear more on those later.
So if you’re already following the game, or just interested in checking out some simple, fast-play WWII rules with emphasis on
“fog of war”, check it out and let me hear your feedback.
New series of 28mm Western Desert / Middle East buildings
With the popularity of modern 28mm skirmish games like Spectre Operations and WWII 28mm skirmish games like Bolt Action and the upcoming releases of the Western Desert Bolt Action campaign and miniatures, GameCraft Miniatures have released a line of 8 new Middle Eastern / Western Desert buildings. These buildings were designed with skirmish gaming in mind, they have removable roofs so you can get inside easily, the two story models have removable floors so you can play in every floor, and they all have bases so the inside of the model has a real floor. These 8 new models available now and be purchased at the GCmini.com online store.
I promised something while I was away, so here we are (if you’re getting a sense of deja vu, these were previewed last weekend before Jo6). We’ve had a number of requests for Eastern Front buildings for WW2 games, so we have a new Russian Village pack of buildings. This contains 19 small houses, mostly single storey affairs and some of which are barely bigger than large huts. It also has a small wooden village chapel to round out the pack.
To accompany the village we have a Russian Orthodox church, a magnificent affair with a large central dome and four small corner towers.
The village buildings are metal castings, and because of their diminutive size we’ve cast them on sprues to make handling easier. The church is a single piece resin casting.
