    Hafen

My guess would be the more mountaineous proto-Elamite kingdom along with the bronze.

My two cents.  As a digital subscriber to MW I generally find the mix of content balanced and though in theory a historical gamer I do like reading about stuff across all genres.  Not all floats my boat now but hey why should it, but it may do.

However, what instead really irks me is that I do not get to have PDF copy of my own.  Whereas I can with the other mags.  Unless I am an idiot and am missing something obvious, which may well be a possibility.

Otherwise keep on with the good work.

Well, based on my recent reading and exploration into 1805 it seems to me that all the paticipants fought hard and at the tactical level were pretty equal – up to say brigade / division.

The difference was the higher level command of those men, the French generally seemed to have had better all arms co-ordination and leadership from the division upwards.   eg command unity in achieving mission objectives and perhaps battlefield awareness.

Which I think agrees with Bandit’s far more detailed, better explained and demonstrated post.

For Sure NCS – but the 3rd had 2 battalions at 724 – so at approx 360 each it is in fact quite low.

As for the 15th they also had 2 battalions so would have had even less – approx 275 in each.

But with the two battalions in each regiment fighting together as one – the numbers are relatively good.  Which is my conundrum – did each regiment fight with it’s battalions joined or apart ?
