Erm, well yes, flak vests would be OK… are you seriously planning on adding to your infantry range? I was going to add a “jump to it!”, but thought that might be a bit cheeky for a first post!

I reckon heavy weapon as the specialist, rather than a medic, I’d probably never use the fella, with all due respect to Private Godfrey.

are you seriously planning on adding to your infantry range?

    Totally.

I plan on bringing out the BPI to go up against the RDF.
Probably a couple of vehicles and maybe 5 infantry or so.

    Then some Mercs.

    Then Stonehaven Militia.
The guys you are after could well be used as SH militia so maybe I will get those sorted next.

It is a matter of time and money.
Bringing out 5 x 6mm infantry can cost about £250.00 and if you are only making a few pence on each figure sold, it will be a while before you see any return.
Resin terrain however see’s a return after just a few unit sales.

Great news, looks like a very useful range you’re planning. Speaking of resin scenery, any plans for a watch tower for Stonehaven?

    There is now.
Next will be the crashed escape pod, then the supply dump then an extra bit of HexWay road, then the watchtower!

Oooh a challenge! What would the elusive 6mm infantry look like?

Not to denigrate your style, Mike. I know it’s based on 1980s British sci-fi comics and it is very evocative of that. But what I’d like is some infantry in 6mm that looks something like the neo-Poles produced by Oddzial Osmy. If I could get those, I’d snap them up, along with Dark Star’s vehicles and your buildings, and be playing 6mm skirmish in no time.

We get slapped around, but we have a good time!

    Here you go:

Basically, more realistic proportions and a more near-modern look.

I~ll be sure to keep a sharp eye out for them, then. I like the amount of character you put into your pieces, I just prefer less exagerated sculpting styles. I know that~s probably a contradiction at 6mm, but… [shrugs] Then again, what do I know about these macroscales? 😀

Ambitious 4 piece shanty dwelling WIP here:

Some quick shots of it tacked in place with PVA glue…

It will come as 4 parts.
The 2 legs and the main body bit and the overhanging body bit.
Almost finished, should be available in about 2 weeks or so.

    As mentioned on KR TV

The RDF have a refitted Pathfinder Ranger to go out on long term patrol in the Badlands.

I started work on the model a while ago and have not bothered with it much since, as I have felt a bit guilty.
The base model is the Pathfinder Paladin, which is a regular Pathfinder but with extra armour.
The model was meant to be released early this year but a few things have set it back so I didn’t want to paint it up and show it off whilst it was never going to be available.

Well the model is now at the casters and is in the queue to be made!!

So my guilt about me having one when you can’t is lessened.
Today I added an ammunition feed belt thingy to the minigun from greenstuff.

    Tomorrow we undercoat!

It has a ram for persuading local wildlife out of the way without wasting ammo.
It has a crane arm to help with any unforseen work that may need doing,
It has a minigun instead of the GMG as they don’t foresee the need to destroy armour much in the Badlands, just fleshy stuff.
Spare wheels and clothes on the outside so that important stuff like coffee and ammo can be stored inside.

Super cool. But can the crane arm crush a horny juraped mid charge?

AFVs in the background look nice too…

    MARIPOSA

It has been over a year since we last visited Mariposa.
We can see how much it has grown, featured here is just one part of the now prosperous town and self proclaimed capital of Kometenmelodie.

    Mariposa, a drones eye view!

Zippy Couriers has a branch in Mariposa.

A wall is repaired after Junker Insurgents mounted an attack.

The RDF have a garrison inside the walls of the town.

A nice shot of the town.

One of the exclusive OKI Penthabs.

A place to relieve those tensions.

Some of the ways in which the town generates electricity.

A traveller tries to find his transport in the Hex2Go storage compound.

Black Gold is still very real, even in the future.

Deema field workers, nothing compared to Stonehaven’s though!

    The beautiful town.

Finally painted up my landing pad that has been on my desk for about a year.
It comes as the semi circular end sections and the middle sections as separates.
That way you can have a landing pad that is big enough for even a big old ship, I will be using the Old Crow one!

Here is the pad with two middle sections.

As you may have noticed, the Junker Insurgents are armed versions of the Junker civilians.
So the guy in the raincoat is also the sniper and the guy with the Chinese style hat is the guy with the rifle.

Keeping in with this theme, the Junker cavalry are the Insurgents but on Jurapeds, so we have the rocket launcher guy, the leader dude and the Chinese hat man again:

The Jurapeds are controlled by small hand held remotes.
The animals have an implant in the skull that acts much like reigns; the rider holds a small remote in one hand and uses this to control the beast.
This remote can be seen in the outstretched left hand of the man here:

Also, his hat has come off as they go quite fast, good job it has a strap.
That is probably why the rocket man has his cap on backwards…

The leader has his rifle and a super tele-monocular, handy for intel, which is always useful when you are in charge…

Anyway, those are the shots, they are in the post and will be with me hopefully later this week.

That is great stuff! Reminds me of Vaugh Bodé’s Junkwaffel. I am getting closer and closer to buying into this… I’m thinking a neo-colonial campaign with your stuff versus 6mm Quar.

oooh JI vs Quar, or RDF vs Quar, or a coalition of RDF and JI vs Quar?

Or JI and Quar vs RDF, or, or?

I dunno yet. My inspiration would be Victorian Southern Africa, so probably RDF, Quar and Junkers would be at LEAST three different sides.

    The Pathfinder Paladin, Warrior variant.

The Pathfinder series of armoured fight vehicles has received its latest addition, the Pathfinder Paladin.
The Paladin is an up armoured version of the standard Pathfinder chassis; it has skirts protecting the sides, front and rear, making it much tougher, comparable with light and medium MBTs.

This extra armour should result in reduced speed; however the engine has also been upgraded so that it can match the conventional Pathfinder.
The downside is that the extra horsepower means less troop capacity, it can only carry 5 infantry as opposed to the normal 10.

The RDF have nicknamed it the vendor, as in vending machine.
The reason being that the door at the back, which is used to get in and out, has gone.
The only way in and out is through the emergency side hatches.
This means that the troops take longer to get out and are easier targets for the enemies.
In the field, it is very rare to find troops riding a Pathfinder Paladin into combat!

The variant pictured here is the Pathfinder Paladin – Warrior.
The Warrior variant has a 100mm autocannon, it is a simpler, less SMART weapon than the Pathfinder Archer’s Javelin Rocket System, but it does pack more punch.

The Pathfinder Paladin Warrior is the RDF’s solution to needing an MBT and it is pretty good at it.
It makes you wonder what an actual RDF MBT would be capable of should they produce one.

    JUNKER INSURGENT CAVALRY
Mounted on Jurapeds, the JIC are fast and deadly.
The Jurapeds are controlled by small hand held remotes.
The animals have an implant in the skull that acts much like reigns; the rider holds a small remote in one hand and uses this to control the beast.

    Orders.
They are treated as infantry and are commanded as such; with orders.
However, given their nature, JIC may only be issued the following orders.

Advance — 12cm instead of normal 6cm, -1 if firing whilst advancing
    Aimed Fire — as normal
Run — 18cm, may not fire
Assault — may move 15cm, difficulty is 4+ (they also get +1 in melee rolls)
    React — as normal

    Mounting and dismounting.
JIC may mount and or dismount for 0cm of their move; however they must have successfully passed an order that granted movement.

Example 1: mounted JIC are given the advance order, they pass the command roll, they dismount for 0cm and then follow the advance order for infantry.

Example 2: dismounted JIC are given the advance order and pass, they use 0cm to mount up then move as the advance for JIC.

    Shooting.
When firing at JIC roll to hit as normal.
When a JIC unit loses a figure from failed saves, roll a D6.
    1-3 the Juraped is killed
    4-5 the rider is killed
(Snipers that hit can modify this roll by plus or minus 1)

If the Juraped is killed, replace the model with an infantry figure.
(This lone figure can either join an infantry squad or can be commanded as solo squad)
If the rider is killed the Juraped runs off and remove the model.

Things and stuff, these make the world go around.

Best way to ensure your things and stuff are safe is to protect them.

Why not entrust your things and stuff to the RIK Corporation?
They will ensure they are well packed, be that box crate or indeed barrel and then palletise them and have them shipped by Easy Cargo to your destination.

If you live on Kometenmelodie, you can collect your goods from the Mariposa Landing Pad.

The models shown here are resin prototypes, the actual products are metal.

cast on, but they are only 1mm thick and can be filed off dead easy, I filed one flat in the Compound build.

This year will be my last year of attending wargames shows as a trader.
The exception being that I will of course attend Blast-Tastic! for the duration of its life.

I am considering for next year attending shows as a gamer and putting on KR 16 games instead.
I will have no stock to sell at these games though.

I will keep you updated as I make more concrete plans.

Sorry for the lack of updates, the family has been battling with poorly sickness with the AB ladies being off work/school.

Anyway, onward and upward and stuff.

Assuming I made some fence post things would there be interest in force field walls?

    Oh I neglected to say…

They are the same width as the OKI walls, so you could use them as a force gate too if you wanted…
